Sales Engineer – DBeaver (Europe

Today, DBeaver is the leading provider of cross-platform enterprise data and database software and we’re seeking our first dedicated Pre-Sales Engineer to join our European team. As a Sales Engineer, you’ll bridge the gap between our sales team and customers, leveraging your technical expertise to ensure that our potential customers understand how DBeaver’s products can solve their technical pain points and support their goals.

Location: This role can be based remotely in Europe, or hybrid in our offices in Belgrade, Serbia, or Budapest, Hungary.

What You’ll Do:

You’ll wear many hats, acting as a technical expert and customer advocate while partnering closely with our account executive and customer success teams in Europe.

– Dive deep into DBeaver’s features and become a product expert. Deliver engaging demos and presentations that showcase its capabilities and wow potential customers.
– Collaborate with the sales team to understand potential customers’ needs. You’ll be the technical voice by leveraging your understanding of databases and the surrounding ecosystem to tailor solutions and ensure a perfect fit.
– Provide timely, expert pre-sales support to resolve potential issues and concerns during the sales cycle to ensure a smooth and positive customer experience.
– Engage with customers and partners through training workshops, sales and marketing materials, and industry events.
– Be a continuous learner, researching the competition and keeping up with the latest database management trends.

– Tailoring technical solutions: Understand customers’ technical needs to ensure our offerings align with their specific business goals and drive meaningful and measurable improvements for them.
– Boost customer workflows and efficiency: Help customers unlock the power of DBeaver to streamline their database management.
– Drive sales through compelling demos: Showcase DBeaver’s unique features to both technical and non-technical audiences to build customer trust and confidence, and customer growth.
– Shape DBeaver’s future: Share valuable customer insights to inform product development and ensure our offerings meet evolving needs.

What You Bring:

– Solid experience with multiple types of databases (e.g., SQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL, cloud databases, etc.) or database tools. Bonus points for experience with database management tools!
– Previous experience with technical sales or in an customer- or user-facing role
– Clear and concise communication + the ability to tailor your message and explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
– A friendly, engaging personality and a passion for helping customers succeed.
– You think on your feet to creatively address customer needs with effective solutions.
– You thrive in a team environment and are always ready to lend a helping hand.
– Travel: Minimal travel expected, but ability to travel as needed
