Your mission

– We are looking for a motivated Sourcing, Hedging & Pricing Specialist – Power Markets (m/f/d) to help drive the green revolution in the electricity market as part of our digital and smart electricity provider.

– As a key member of our Finance team, you will take full ownership of our dynamic and monthly power tariffs (SimplyFair and SimplyDynamic), including power procurement, hedging, and pricing.

Your tasks

– Further develop value-hedging tools to minimize price and volume risks

– Continuously improve consumption forecasting tools for different customer load profiles (SLP, TLP, RLM) to reduce balancing deviations

– Enhance pricing tools, including premium calculations for balancing, credit, and spot price risks

– Define short- to mid-term risk metrics and implement automated risk monitoring

– Maintain and further automate an efficient data pipeline for sourcing, hedging, and pricing, ensuring data quality and resolving inconsistencies

– Build tools with Python and SQL while applying software engineering best practices

– Collaborate with the intraday (ID) trading team to align on spot sourcing (RLM)

Your profile

– Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline with 2+ years of experience in energy procurement, risk management, hedging, pricing, or power trading

– Strong knowledge of electricity markets (PPAs, futures, spot, intraday, balancing)

– Solid understanding of hedging strategies and instruments (futures/forwards, options) and risk management

– Proven ability to write production-grade Python code and advanced SQL, applying software engineering practices (Git, automated testing, code reviews)

– Excellent communication skills in German (B2–C1) and English (B2–C1), both written and spoken

Nice to have

– Familiarity with German energy market regulations and dynamics

– Experience in data visualization and dashboard development

– Previous experience in a start-up environment
